Tech specs
Small enough to pocket.Serious enough to trust.
Everything we can tell you about the hardware today. A few figures are still being finalised as we move from prototypes to the first batch — those are marked, and we’ll fill them in here as they land.

Radio
The receiver at the heart of it.
- Receiver
- Software-defined radio with onboard signal processing
- Tuning range
- 5 MHz – 1.7 GHz, continuous
- Above 1.7 GHz
- 2.4 GHz drone Remote ID is received by the Wi-Fi / Bluetooth radio
- Modes
- Spectrum, waterfall and scanner views; audio for supported broadcasts (wide and narrow FM, AM)
- Decoders
- ADS-B (aircraft), AIS (marine), Remote ID (drones), and licence-free device bursts at 315 / 433 / 868 MHz
- Architecture
- Receive-only. There is no transmit path on the board — it cannot transmit on the frequencies it monitors
Antennas
One inside, one on top.
- Internal
- Dedicated 1090 MHz ADS-B antenna for aircraft tracking. Being inside the case it also picks up strong nearby signals — FM radio, for instance — without the external antenna fitted
- External
- Wideband extendable antenna included, on a standard SMA connector — extend it for the lower bands, or swap in any SMA antenna for more reach
- Switching
- Automatic — the device picks the best antenna for what you’re tuned to
Connectivity & app
The phone is the big screen.
- Wireless
- Wi-Fi + Bluetooth link to the companion app
- App
- iPhone at launch; Android to follow. Live spectrum, identification, maps, alerts
- Standalone
- Physical controls and onboard processing — usable without a phone
- Wired
- USB-C for charging TBC data
Power
Eight hours of listening. Two weeks on standby.
- Battery
- Internal 3,350 mAh rechargeable lithium cell
- Charging
- USB-C, from any standard USB supply
- Runtime
- Up to 8 hours of constant use, or up to 15 days in background mode — listening for alerts between check-ins
Physical
Built for a pocket and the field.
- Enclosure
- Durable shell in Signal Blue with a dark textured faceplate
- Controls
- Single front-face control; status indicator behind the faceplate
- Dimensions
- Pocketable, roughly the footprint of a car key — exact figures TBC
- Weight
- TBC
- Designed
- In the United Kingdom by Carefully Coded
